Mia was rescued from a market in BSD. Found orphan Mia was rescued from a market in BSD. Found orphaned and starving, weighing less than 300 g, she's now a spunky and energetic 5 week old kitten. She loves to be held close when she's not going after dust bunnies. Unfortunately I have to leave the country in 2 weeks so I'm desperately looking for a place for Mia to land. She's located in BSD, Jakarta but I can meet with potential adopter anywhere in greater Jakarta. #catloverjakarta #rescuekucing #adopsikucing #prosteril
Throwback to the last trip I took before the pande Throwback to the last trip I took before the pandemic in early 2020. Europe was just starting to lockdown (my RyanAir flight from Amman to Bologna had 5 people on it), while the US was still trying to figure out what was going on. I thought of my trip to Jordan as realization dawned on me as my trip (to Indonesia) is ending: I went through quarantine, the multiple PCR/antigen tests, the performative temperature checks, the endless barcode scannings, and now the prospect of a 40 hrs trip where mask is required. Travel feels so different now it's getting harder to remember how it used to be. (Btw, Jordan was kind of amazing and Petra exceeded my expectations.)

"Can you believe this view?!" - the San Juan Mount "Can you believe this view?!" - the San Juan Mountains in Colorado is quickly becoming our go-to outdoor playgrounds. Ouray and Silverton so get busy in the summer but getting away from the crowds is easy. We only encountered one other party on this trail on July 4th weekend. New blog post is up. Life update: we moved to Colorado! After calling C Life update: we moved to Colorado! After calling California home for almost 2 decades, I said goodbye to the Pacific Coast, Yosemite, our favorite people, and our neighborhood bars. It wasn't easy, and at times I do miss San Francisco terribly. But it felt right. More about our move on the blog. Link in bio.
Accidentally color-coordinated. ------------- Uta Accidentally color-coordinated. ------------- Utah in winter checks all of my boxes: ✅ Quiet slot canyons exploration. ✅ Fluffy snow flakes and previous snow storms that make all the intricate details of sandstone towers and canyons stand out. ✅ Campgrounds with no reservations 📷: Ding and Dang canyon. We brought a 30m static and glad to have had it. ------------- I even ended up with a souvenir: a bald spot from where I lost a chunk of hair on a windy rappel 😅 - lesson learned.
